The Institute of Electronics Engineers – Central Region Chapter, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (IECEP-KSA-CRC), a duly recognized foreign-based chapter of Filipino Electronics professionals, engineers and associates with affiliation from IECEP, Manila, Philippines is proud to announce that it has officially started the SPLBE ECE Review Class for this current year 2011 last May 6, 2011.
ECE Review Batch 2011 First Day Of Class and Enrollment
During the opening day, eleven (11) BSECE graduates enrolled for the review class and renewed their membership to the Institute. The following Friday, May 13 saw an increase of the enrollees who now totals to twenty (20) reviewees and is still accepting more to register. The SPLBE review is conducted every Friday morning from 8:00 AM to 12:00 NN at Elite International School.
The review class is being organized by the IECEP-KSA-CRC officers, directors and reviewers. It is spearheaded by our able and experienced reviewers, Engr. Ricky Manalo (SPLBE Director and Reviewer) and Engr. Jojo Red (Auditor and Reviewer), who have gained vast experiences in the academe and teaching profession as professor and reviewer in the Philippines, Saudi Arabia and Japan.
There are others reviewers who are also supporting the organization. This year, Engr. Ryan Panilo with Engr. Perry Camson will handle all Mathematics subjects; Engr. Jandee Bonifacio, Engr. Walter Arcenal, Engr. Perry Camson, Engr. Jonathan Aguilar will handle GEAS subjects. Also, an online e-learning support is being offered which will be handled by Engr. Sonnico Elsisura together with other officers. As of today, the Institute has already collected fourteen (14) available reviewer books that will serve as reference materials. A software containing thousands of practice questionnaires and exercises was also provided.
Engr. Modesto Gibas, VG-Education, who oversees the SPLBE as a whole, explains the review class methodology is more of examinations-based followed by lectures and explanations on the answers. This is to prepare the ECE examinees for the actual board exam scenario which brings maximum results towards memory retention and understanding of the theories and best practices.
Furthermore, Engr. Catalino Criste, VG-Internal Affairs who heads the membership committee has reported an increase in membership brought about by the SPLBE activity. To date, we have fifty (50) licensed engineers and fifty (50) associate members who are actively participating in all activities, namely; technical seminars, professional career and development, sports and recreation, out-reach programs, etc.
The Institute, headed by Engr. Mario Balboa as Governor is expecting more Electronics professionals to spearhead and enhance the already moral stature and prestige of the Filipino engineer by having a duly-recognized electronics engineering professional organization that will protect the rights and privileges of its members in the practice of the profession in the Kingdom.
The ECE licensure examination through the SPLBE program administered by the Professional Regulation Commission, as mandated by Executive Order No. 835, is tentatively scheduled to be held this November, 2011 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and other parts of the GCC.
