“The only person you are destined to become is the person you decide to be.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson.
Eleven years ago, after obtaining my license as an Electronics Engineer, I had no clear vision of what life is ahead. All I knew I should do was to get a decent job, give my family a better living, settle down and what was next, I had no idea. I never realized that somewhere in between, better things could happen. It is truly God’s plan that He sent me away from home to be who I am right now. It is also true that I am where I am because this is where I chose to be. But I could not become what I have become without the decisions I made and without the people that made it happen. I moved to Riyadh in 2017, and it was the time I joined IECEP-KSA-CRC, in the purpose of fulfilling the requirements to renew my license – by attending technical seminars they offer.
Plain and simple, I thought that was all it was about. I met my fellow engineers and was amazed by their stories and the achievements they got with the organization’s help. As I realized I needed a breakthrough in my career, I was encouraged by the organization to upgrade as a Professional Electronics Engineer. It was the same year I started the journey, and all the officers and past presidents gave their full support to guide me and make it happen – from license renewal, gathering of necessary documents, endorsement, mentoring, and until the day of my interview – they never stopped helping. I have been in Saudi Arabia since 2009 and never knew that an organization as dedicated as IECEP-KSA-CRC exist. It was the best move I did.
As I achieve another chapter in my life, I would like to share this success with IECEP-KSA-CRC, its current and past officers, and all the people behind it. I owe it to them and will pay it forward by giving whatever support I can to those who also aspire
