Electronics Engineers from all across Riyadh Central Region once again gathered with the aid of IECEP-KSA-CRC last July 26 at the White Palace Hotel for a seminar and workshop on fiber Optics. The room was jam packed with more than a hundred enthusiastic Filipino engineers, all willing to learn and develop their individual technical skills.
The Resource speaker for the Seminar was Engr. Romeo C. Maribao Jr. He is originally from Pagadian, Zamboanga Del Sur and currently working at Saudi Trans Telecom as a FTTH Design Engineer. He lectured about Fiber Optics, from its theoretical perspective up to the practical real life demonstrations. He explained how the fiber optic works, what the components of Fiber optics are, the types of fiber optic cables, fiber optic tools, and a whole lot more. To summarize, it is a complete seminar and workshop package. He taught everything you needed to know about Fiber Optics from basics to advance. Engr. Romeo, being a Toast Master Certified Communicator had the attendees on the edge of their seats throughout the event. Not only were they educated, they also enjoyed. They all had the chance to witness first hand on how the Fiber optic splicing is done. Many of them were given the opportunity to try splicing Fiber optics themselves.
The second speaker Ms. Joanne Reyes from SMDC, a sponsor of the seminar, presented some of their real estate opportunities to our fellow OFW. She inspired us to regain our focus on our goals of why we are all here abroad. She inspired us to invest in something potential. Something worthwhile, while we still can.
It was a fun event and we hope to see everyone again on our future Seminars.
