Electronics Engineers of the Philippines, Inc in KSA Central Region Chapter (IECEP-KSA-CRC) held its 3rd Annual General Membership (AGM) on December 13, 2013 at White Palace Hotel, Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The event was attended by around 50 active members and dignitaries from the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO). The theme of the event is “Transforming into Competitive Electronics Professionals.”
On the same day, there was an election for the 2014 term. During the registration period from 12 pm to 1 pm, each active member was given a ballot to vote. Before the start of the election at 1 pm, each candidate had been given enough time to introduce himself to the members. Most of the candidates were present. A total of 15 candidates were presented and their certificates of candidacies were posted on the wall. The election began on time, and every member cast his secret ballot. Then counting of votes was initiated where the process and result was being witnessed by all members. The program continued after the counting of ballots with technical seminars and then was followed by induction program proper at 6 pm.

The program continued and followed by the discussion of RA 9292, “Electronics Engineering Law of 2004” and Building Management System which had been conducted by Engr. Jandee R. Bonifacio and Engr. Saijuhan Mustaham, respectively. Every member benefited much information from the topics. Such inquiries had been entertained by both resource speakers. Phase I of the program had ended effectively with some suggestions for further discussion of the latter due to its vast application.
The second part of the program is the president report and the induction proper. Engr. Moody Gibas presented the milestone achieved by the organization during his term including the IECEP-KSA-CRC as IECEP Foreign Chapter Awardee. The induction part was led by Honorable Rustico SM Dela Fuente, Labor Attaché, POLO-Riyadh, KSA. He provided his welcome speech and shared his views and experiences about managing a community organization and he also congratulated IECEP-KSA-CRC on its event during the induction ceremony. The first induction is for the new set of officers and the second induction is for the new members.
