Eighty two (82) passers of the Special Professional Licensure Board Examination (SPLBE), IECEP-KSA-CRC new Board of Directors for 2013, and the newly elected officers of the Philippine Professional Organization (PPO) Central Region Saudi Arabia took their oath in a joint oath taking ceremony held at Riyadh Palace Hotel, Al-Hara, Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the 21st evening of December 2012. Likewise, the PPO chairmanship was turned over by the outgoing chairman Engr. Rolando Nicolas to the incoming 2013 chairman Engr. Modesto Gibas, president elect of the Institute of Electronics Engineers.
The program started with the Invocation of Christian and Muslim faith alike which was headed by Arch. Inovejas and Engr. Ampang respectively. Prayers succeeded the ceremony by giving an all-rise emblem of the national anthem lead by Ms. Medina.
The current PPO-CRCSA Chairman, Engr. Nicolas gave welcome address together with an overview of past activities and events that commemorates the year 2012. It includes but not limited to PPO handling of sports activities, Embassy gatherings, and PPO officers meeting to name a few.
As the program moves forward to the guest of honor and speaker, introduced by former IECEP-KSA-CRC Board of Director, Engr. Mario Balboa, a well round of applause was given to LABATT Hon. Albert Valenciano. The message he delivered was very brief. The anechoic assembly’s made the audience eager to hear LABATT’s speech until the stage transcend with awarding of plaque and recognition of mentors of each organization.
Succeeding the turn of events, the Recognition of Mentors for each discipline such as Nurses, Civil Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Master Electricians, Mechanical Engineers, to name a few were awarded respectfully. Hence mentors of IECEP-KSA-CRC’s SPLBE in the area of Mathematics, General Engineering & Applied Sciences (GEAS), Electronics, and Communication of the SPLBE 2012 were called upon by LABATT Albert Valenciano, and gave credits for the following instructors:
- Engr. Enrico Manalo
- Engr. Jose Carmen Red
- Engr. Perry Camson
- Engr. Ryan Paul Panilo
- Engr. Lester De Guzman
- Engr. Rito Banan
- Engr. Jandee Bonifacio
Each was given the Certificate of Recognition for their unconditionally unrivalled dedication and support to ECE/ECT examinees alike.
Getting a quick flashback when the Institute (IECEP-KSA-CRC) have taken an important role for supporting examinees to climb their dreams, ease their hardship and head start their concentration
during the review, results to an unparalleled relief of seeing passer grow in number. Nevertheless, the said event recognizes passers of each discipline of the SPLBE exams. A number of passers were bagged out by the Architects. On the one hand, our Electronics Engineering & Electronics Technician passers likewise didn’t stand least. Under the spotlight of events, the Institute recognizes the names that follow respectively:

The second part of the event is the Handling over of PPO Chairmanship leaded again by out-going PPO-CRSA Chairman, Engr. Rolando Nicolas. Handling over the gavel as a symbol of chairmanship, PPO leader open-heartedly transferred to IECEP-KSA-CRC’s President, Engr. Moody Gibas, who benevolently accepted the roles and duties of the next-in-line leadership.
As soon as the roles and responsibilities for PPO chairmanship transferred, the third part of the event is the oath taking of PPO-CRSA Member Organizations for year 2013. Stepping forward, upon the lead of LABATT Albert Valenciano, IECEP-KSA-CRC’S next batch of Officers took their oath unconditionally, rule-abiding, and whole-heartedly. The next set of officers for year 2013-2014 all agreed on one mission and vision in the end;
- to serve fellow professionals,
- to support civic welfare development,
- to encourage high-technical skills,
- to promote camaraderie for the Institute and fellowship of different disciplines thru different activities,
- to promote transparency for all,
- enforce membership participation,
- develop competitive reviewees and increase their passing rate for next batch of SPLBE.
Hence, the IECEP-KSA-CRC Officers next-in-line, effective right after the oath taking, are as follow:

The officers took their oath, solemnly swear to abide faithfully, uphold the Constitution and By-laws of the Institute as well as the rules and regulations, stated.
Finally, ending the night with inspirational message from the PPO-CRSA Chairman and IECEP President, the hall was silenced briefly by the forecast of upcoming activities and preparations for year 2013. The next year’s line-up was elaborately showcased by Engr. Moody Gibas as he declares points for continuing professionalism of every discipline as well as the active engagement of the Institute as a whole, to continually support the new line of officers and their implementation of tasks for the next 365 days.
Consequently, dinner was served right after the speech. After a voluptuous feast, everyone in the hall seemed to have been satisfied by their craving. Later that night, different intermissions went over the scene to provide a glimpse such as: “The Last Days”, “Humanitarian effort in the Philippines” (given through video presentation), and some heart-melting songs which was requested more by their audience.
The gentlemen of IECEP-KSA-CRC each took their own photo souvenirs either to keep it or showcase themselves to social networking sites.
In the end, the resolution is very clear- to take a new step ahead, be prepared for next wave of roles and responsibilities, and know the next step from what’s learnt from previous mistakes. Last but not the least; to impose well-planned action for the betterment of the Professional Filipino Workers in the Kingdom as a whole.
