Riyadh – IECEP KSA CRC recently participated in the Philippine Professional Organization – Central Region Saudi Arabia (PPO-CRSA) Mini Olympics last March 15, 2019 at the Banban Village Esteraha in Exit 6 with the theme “Encouraging Sense of Sportsmanship, Fairness and Mutual Respect among PPO Members.”
The sports event was joined by nineteen (19) active Professional Organizations based in Riyadh for a whole day of Fun and Games. The nearly 100 participants were divided into four (4) color teams such as the Red Team, the Blue Team, the Yellow Team and the Green Team. They competed in cheering contest, basketball, volleyball, chess, darts, scrabble, sack race, hullahoops, tug of war and Minute-to-Win-it games.
Our very own IECEP KSA CRC President and Chairman of the PPO-CRSA Engr. Tim Dy, opened the event by welcoming and thanking all the organizations that joined. He also encouraged everyone to have fun and participate in all of the events and develop friendship and camaraderie among professionals thru sportsmanship.
IECEP KSA CRC successfully organized the Volleyball event led by Sports Committee Chairman Engr. Dodjie Vibar. Fifteen (15) Officers and Members attended the Olympics led by VP external Engr. Nelson Navarro, together with Sec Gen Engr. Jun Calomarde, Auditor Engr. Rodel Pauya and BOD member Engr. Leo Argoso, had fun and came home with free give-a-ways from sponsors of the event.
The Blue Team came out the over-all champion of the Olympics winning majority of the games of the whole day event. – SG Junsil
