Description
Revit is primarily used for Building Information Modelling (BIM). Building Information Modeling is the process of generating and managing building data during its life cycle. BIM uses three-dimensional, real-time, dynamic building modeling software to increase productivity in building design and construction. To create a BIM, a modeler uses intelligent objects (Families) to build the model.

Objectives
This technical seminar will allow the participants to gain an understanding of BIM Modeling and its benefits via Revit Architecture. Fundamental techniques; design calculations, planning a room, drawing details, using drafting views and working with text and tags will be covered. Students also learn the proper workflow for completing an entire project and create construction documents. Revit MEP for System Design and Calculation can also serve as a standalone course for ECTs/ECEs/PECEs who are interested in getting an overview of latest versions of Revit Architecture.

Synopsis
This course covers the basics of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and the tools for parametric MEP systems design and documentation. Participants will learn the fundamental features of Revit MEP and then progress through schematic design, system analysis and construction documentation, before advancing to design visualization
